So: crazy weekend! This weather is not making me very happy either. Walking across that drill field is hell! So yesterday, the roof of the Blacksburg High School gym collapsed! I went to that school! Everyone that went there knew that something like this would happen eventually. The high school is built on a fault line, so there were many cracks and fractures in the foundation on the school. In the gym, there was a huge crack down one side of it; so sketchy! We all knew it was going to happen eventually.
Other than that, this weekend is Valentine’s Day weekend! I’m going out to dinner with Brian to where we had our first date, three years ago. Sooo, cute! We are actually going to Macados. We started dating in high school so we couldn’t really afford to go anywhere fancy. But I love that place, so it’s okay! I hope other people have special plans for today too. =] It’s really great having a special day like today. I know a lot of people are really bitter about Valentine’s Day, but there is nothing to be mad about. It’s just a day where couples can show their affection towards each other. I do agree with the people that do say that it is a Hallmark Holiday, but use that towards your advantage. Valentine’s Day is a day where it’s forced affection, I think. It would be great if every day, or every week there was a day where your boyfriend would surprise you with flowers and candy! Valentine’s Day forces your significant other to show you how much they adore you because frankly, guys just don’t do that on their own. So I’m really excited about today.
So, about this weather; I am not happy. It’s supposed to snow again tomorrow?! I really just want to see grass, I miss seeing green things. I think all this snow is making me depressed. I want to actually enjoy walking to class and be able to wear shorts again! I’m not is the long pant mode anymore. I’m sick of the cold!!
